the alignment blueprint:
DAY 2
YOUR ENERGY
// day 2 theme: tending to the energy you bring into the room, noticing what your nervous system radiates outward, and understanding how that shapes your connections
Before you’ve even said a word, your energy can be felt. Today is about taking energetic responsibility for what we bring to our own day, our partner’s day, and our children’s day. Taking responsibility in this way doesn’t mean to shame you for what you’ve been bringing or to tell you to “fix it” (yuck), but to encourage you with the reminder that you GET TO create what it feels like to be you AND to be around you. We are becoming more aligned and intentional humans today, yes. AND, we are becoming the energetic leaders of our home, too. Powerful stuff.
//day 2 love note from Tori
“The energy I bring into the room is my responsibility AND my power. I set the tone. I lead the change. I go first.”
Write this on a sticky note and put it on your bathroom mirror, screenshot the cute lil wallpaper I made you below and set it as your lock screen, or write it down in your journal.
Don’t forget to take a picture of your love note and tag me on IG!! I want to be there for your journey through this reset, so let’s see it!! :)
// day 2 quick links
anchor 1: the morning compass (~5 min)
anchor 2: the gold 15 (~15 min)
anchor 3: relationship recalibration (~15 min)
// day 2 anchor 1: morning compass work (~5 min)
Sit in the quiet and let yourself to be open to what comes up when you ask:
What energy have I been bringing into the spaces I enter lately?
…and how might that be impacting…
my children?
my partner?
my overall quality of life?
Same as yesterday, write about it or spend a few minutes thinking through it. We aren’t doing self-blame or judgment. We’re just getting curious about our energy.
Maybe your body’s been holding anxiety, rushing from one task to the next, and that panicky energy has spilled over onto your child or partner.
Maybe you’ve been moving through the day with resentment or tension and others have been feeling a little “walking on egg shells” around you.
Maybe your energy has felt withdrawn, exhausted, or numb because it’s hard to be present when you’re running on empty.
Or maybe your energy has been warm, calm, and grounded…and it’s good to notice that too!
Whatever it is, just name it. “This is the energy I’ve been carrying. And I can shift it if I choose to.”
Once you’ve gotten honest about the type of energy you’ve been bringing into your world, try this:
Place one hand on your heart and one on your belly.
Take a few breaths to ground yourself.
Whisper out loud or say in your head: “This is what I’ve been carrying. I see it. I own it. And I’m open to changing it. Today, I’ll bring _____ instead.” Calm? Gratitude? Curiosity? Trust? Playfulness? Hustle? What kind of energy sounds appealing and needed today?
That’s it!! That’s energetic responsibility. Quick, yes…but not so easy, ya’ know? We show up to check the energy we’re bringing to our day-to-day and to our loved ones…because what you bring is the soil your whole life (and all your important connections!!!) grows in.
Using “Today, I’m bringing _____.” as your morning compass translates so well to taking energetic responsibility because it’s a short sentence you can say as many times as it takes throughout your day. Every time you fall off, get triggered, or sucked into someone else’s energy, you just come back to, “Today, I’m bringing _____.”
FRIENDLY REMINDER: Don’t forget to check anchor 1 off on your tracker!!
// day 2 anchor 2 for parents: the gold 15 (~15 min)
Quick reminders for day 2:
Use my suggestions or don’t, but make the 15 minutes count!!
No phones, tv, distractions of any kind
Get on their level, physically and energetically
Let go of how you want it to go or think it SHOULD go
Connect with your child AND your inner child
Day 2 Gold 15 Activity Suggestions by Age Group
For babies 0-12 months:
Tactile connection: Give them a gentle baby massage (hands, feet, back) while talking or singing softly.
For toddlers 1-3 years:
Water play: Fill a small tub or bowl with water and scoop, pour, and splash together. Big, dramatic reactions make it extra fun for all. :)
For school-aged children 4-10 years:
Outside adventure: Take a walk around the block together, pointing out interesting things. Kneel to their level when you find a treasure and look them in the eyes when you make observations about it. (This twig looks like the letter Y, this leaf has 4 different colors on it, how COOOOOL, literally anything lol)
For preteens 11-13 years:
Go for a walk or short drive. This removes pressure to make eye contact, making it easier for them to open up.
For teens 14+ years:
Play a quick game. A round of cards, a silly challenge like “Try Not to Laugh,” or a short video game match.
FRIENDLY REMINDER: Don’t forget to check anchor 2 off on your tracker!! Only a few more to go for today.
// day 2 anchor 2 for non-parents: the gold 15 (~15 min)
Pick one of the ideas listed (or go with your own hobby you loved as a kid) and give it 15 distraction-free minutes.
Doodle or color — no rules, no art skills needed, just play with colors.
Dance to a throwback song you loved as a kid or teen. (Yes, Spice Girls counts.)
Build something — Legos, Play-Doh, blocks, cards, puzzles.
Go on an “awe walk” — step outside, notice shapes, colors, and small details you usually ignore.
Blow bubbles and literally just watch them float away the way kids do. Sounds dumb, but trust me on this one. It’s zen af. :)
Journal with your non-dominant hand and see what comes out.
Listen to a nostalgic playlist in headphones — songs from your middle school/teen years.
Paint (cheap paints, scrap paper, watercolor, paint leaves from the yard, etc.).
Play a simple game you used to love — solitaire, Tetris, Mario Kart, whatever brings joy without productivity.
Collect little treasures on a walk — a leaf, a stone, something shiny. Remember what it felt like to collect cool things?
FRIENDLY REMINDER: Don’t forget to check anchor 2 off on your tracker!! Only a few more to go for today.
// day 2 anchor 3 for those with a partner: relationship recalibration (~15 min)
The energy you bring into your relationships matters just as much as your words or actions. Whether it’s tension, calm, warmth, pressure, or joy, your nervous system is already setting the tone. When life moves fast (which it usually does), it’s easy to fall into unconscious patterns with our partners and kids. Short answers, quick reactions, passive disconnection. Autopilot!! Today, we press pause and recalibrate by bringing intentional energy back into the room.
Each of you answer this: What energy have I been bringing into our relationship lately and what energy do I want to bring more of?
Example: “I’ve been stressed, rushing, and grumpy. I want to bring more patience and warmth.”
When you share, don’t just toss it out there and move on. Make eye contact and really BE here. These simple conversations are a form of nervous system co-regulation. We’re able to chill outtttttt when we can say to each other, “I’m aware of what I’ve been bringing. I see what you’ve been receiving from me. I care about this and I want to do better.” THIS is what energetic leadership in a partnership looks like. Speaking out loud about both what you’ve been bringing to the union and how you want to do better. And, hey…remember from the intro section: Don’t get tripped up over how your partner answers these questions. It isn’t really about them. It’s about US leading the way. :)
FRIENDLY REMINDER: Don’t forget to check anchor 3 off on your tracker!! Circle back at bed time for the last two anchors. Nice work!
// day 2 anchor 3 for singles: relationship recalibration (~15 min)
The energy you bring into relationships matters just as much as your words or actions. Whether it’s tension, calm, warmth, pressure, or joy, your nervous system is already setting the tone. When life moves fast (which it usually does), it’s easy to fall into unconscious patterns with yourself and others, being short with your friends, closed off with family, or even disconnected from your own needs. Autopilot!!
Today, we press pause and recalibrate by bringing intentional energy back into the room, even if the “room” is just you, right here, right now.
Your prompt for today:
Ask yourself: What energy have I been bringing into my relationships lately? And what energy do I want to bring more of?
Example: “I’ve been heavy and withdrawn. I want to bring more openness and lightness.”
Or: “I’ve been busy and distracted. I want to bring more presence and patience.”
When you answer, don’t just scribble it down and rush on. Sit with it. Make eye contact with yourself in the mirror (yes, really. I know it feels weird AF, I struggle with it, too.). Put your hand on your chest. Feel the shift in your body as you name it.
This simple practice is a form of nervous system recalibration. You’re saying to yourself: “I’m aware of what I’ve been carrying. I see what I’ve been putting out. I care about this and I want to do better.”
FRIENDLY REMINDER: Don’t forget to check anchor 3 off on your tracker!! Circle back at bedtime for the last two anchors. Nice work!
// day 2 anchors 4 & 5: gratitude & contributions (~5 min)
Same as day 1, when you’re in bed and about to sleep, take a few minutes to reflect and write down 3-5 things you’re grateful for from today and 3 ways you contributed to the world around you.
GRATITUDE: What are 3–5 things you’re grateful you got to experience today?
Maybe you…
heard a song that made you smile
noticed the way your child reached for your hand
remembered to take an intentional deep breath that calmed you down juuuust a little
saw a sunset that stopped you in your tracks
enjoyed the smell of coffee brewing in the morning
had a breakthrough moment with your partner
experienced your child opening up to you about something important
felt present in a way you haven’t in a long time
CONTRIBUTIONS: What are 3 ways you showed up for someone or something outside of yourself?
Maybe you…
comforted your child (and stayed calm yourself) during a meltdown
offered your partner a moment of connection
sent a nice text to a friend
picked up trash because Mama Earth deserves BETTER
gave a compliment to a stranger
chose to be patient when you usually would have snapped or shut down
// closing out day 2
You did it again!! You showed up with awareness and courage AND you took ENERGETIC MF RESPONSIBILITY, BABY!! You noticed the invisible frequency you’ve been carrying and amplifying through your home, your body, your relationships, and you chose to be a leader towards change. That’s a beautiful execution of energetic leadership, and I’m proud of you. If you didn’t hit every anchor, or if the day felt messy or scattered, you’re still moving towards the magic. You’re still reclaiming your energy. Tomorrow, we continue. Keep going!! You’re growing!!! :)
PS: If you’re ready to skip ahead, move beyond alignment, and into cycle breaking through energetic sovereignty, Beyond the Blueprint is your next step.
